Catching Snowflakes

I swung by the new monthly Collab88 yesterday, and after waiting what seemed an unbelievably long time for everything to rez, I came away with some wonderful new items at great prices!  My cozy heathered knit mesh dress is from Ingenue, a simple classic style with beautiful detailing & fit.  This would also go great with pants, it's just the right length.  These awesome thigh boots from Schadenfreude can be worn as seen, or just the shoe portion.  They also come with a flat and male & female version -- all with the price of one pair of boots!  There are several colors available -- I thought I would have some color change options with the HUD, as shown in the display photographs.  Perhaps the black doesn't have that particular feature, although I can change the button colors.  I'm wearing sheer tights from Izzie's, and holiday print stockings from DollyRock, who is no longer in business.  The belt is from a lovely Zaara cocktail dress -- just a bit of mixing & matching on my part.

The incredible falling snow, trees, snowy plants & mounds all come from 3D trees.  They are fully sculpted and lacking that terrible alpha problem I see all too often in Second Life!  I purchased the Winter Landscaping kit on the Marketplace, and you can pick up more trees at the main store or on the Marketplace.  The cute snowman is something I made from a kit a few years back, and is not for sale.

Yes, I am sticking out my tongue -- and I caught a snowflake as well!  The pierced tongue is a holiday gift to all from Earthstones.  My warm beret from evolve, available in a variety of colors, is getting a lot of wear this season.  The sparkling gems on my holiday jewelry from Stars! really draw the eye!  It is available in 3 different lengths of necklaces which can be worn separately or all together.  You can purchase the complete set with earrings or individual pieces.  I'm wearing the short & medium length combined, and the earrings.  These are not your typical Christmas jewelry -- I just love them!  Noteworthy: Stars! is one of the few places that does custom work if you have something specific in mind.
